Looking Back/Thinking Forward

On Monday, the Newhouse Center for Humanities hosted an informal conversation about my sabbatical year. Hard to believe that it is coming to a close, along with my teaching career at Wellesley.

The gathering was a good opportunity to work on a “slideshow” presentation that presented old work that has been seen, but a long time ago, work that was done in the past 10 years, but has not been presented, and new work in color that remains to be explored for the correct presentation method. So, following up on my pledge to learn new things all year, I finally put together a slideshow and added music. Johnny Cash, Tammy Wynett and Patsy Cline….sad songs. Work in progress for sure! But at least it gave me a good idea of what to do next. There were good friends present and good questions. Fun!
