Vent!
Thank god, I am retiring at the end of this academic year! There are so many better ways to spend the time one has left in their lives, than waging battles that count for very little in the long run. Right now, I am still spending nearly half of every day on paperwork for Wellesley. Or being there 2 days a week for some kind of meeting…advising students, etc. A recent meeting with dept. chairs spent way too much time arguing for the return of a paper telephone directory when the agenda was to discuss better ways to assess job performance for staff and faculty. And that was the easier discussion to digest.
Sorry to vent. I am so lucky to be able to quit.
Will you still need me......???
